I dont even know where to start?! First off, we are pregnant again. Due Valentine's Day..YAYYY!!!

However, we are still living in NY in an apartment attached to my in-laws....blech. I have no words for this situation or what to do. It looks like we may be headed back down to NC becuase that is about all we can afford! Move and have a life that does not involve living from paycheck to paycheck, or live up here where we and our children can enjoy family.

Ugh..

This is why I haven't posted.. who wants to read this drivel?!?!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-37680881237441293932011-02-15T18:55:00.001-05:002011-02-16T16:02:53.412-05:00My Baby ZoolanderToday, you rolled from back to belly for the first time. You did it twice! You rolled towards your crawl ball and the balancing monkey ball. It was so great to see how proud of yourself you are. Then, once you were on your belly, you really got to scooting so that you could get to the toys you wanted. I am pretty impressed!

Daddy still has not seen you roll from belly to back, so when he came home, I plopped you down. You think you could throw your Daddy a bone? Nope! No rolling for him. Good thing I got part of it on camera.

Stinker!

PS - You only roll right! You are like a baby Zoolander!

Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-44383724871647006012011-02-14T22:40:00.000-05:002011-02-15T15:02:03.788-05:00Happy Valentine's DayMy wonderful husband was home sick today. REAL sick. He is coughing like there is an explosion in his chest. SO romantic! BUT, because he was home sick, he got up and made me breakfast. What a wonderful day to start off the most romantic day of the year. Even if I am pretty sure my eggs were surrounded by used up tissues.

So, after breakfast, we headed to the doctors. He has a sever sinus infection - gross! 3 prescriptions later and I had him home, toasty in bed so he could relax.

On our way home, he informed me that we had 6:30 dinner reservations. Considering how he was feeling, I tried to talk him out of it, but he insisted and would not tell me where we were headed.

I dressed LB up in her beautiful Valentine's Day outfit, got ready myself, and we headed out the door. Dinner wound up being at Red Ginger. One of my favorite restaurants. I know he chose that just for me because he would much preferred a steak house! Dinner was amazing. He gave me chocolates, he gave LB and I a dozen long stem roses, and he gave me a gift from the boys as well. He is the sweetest <3.

In the middle of dinner, LB had a blow out. Happy Valentine's Day Mommy! Nothing says "I love you" like a pig poop!

After stuffing myself with sushi, we were headed out. On the way out, the waitress handed me a rose and 6 chocolate covered strawberries. I love Valentine's Day!

We gave LB a float for Florida and the book "counting Kisses". She looked amazing in her outfit.Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-34612035984764148212011-02-01T11:13:00.002-05:002011-02-01T11:17:59.723-05:00GermsDear General Public,

Do not bring your sniffling, sneezing, coughing kid around mine. If you do not have enough smarts to keep your kid in your own home while they are sick, then I feel bad for your kid!

Bringing someone with a hacking cough and a terrible wheeze around a 4 month old, whose immune system has not had a chance to fully develop is disrespectful and wrong. Please use better judgment and keep you and your kids germs to yourself! K.thx.bai!

/rant.Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-1799811963913669682011-01-29T11:22:00.000-05:002011-02-01T11:30:29.848-05:00I need a XanaxLil slept in her crib for the first time last night. It was absolutely heart breaking. I really enjoy having her next to me and being able to put my hand on her chest whenever I want. I miss her : (

I would have kept her in that cradle till college if I could, but she was reaching the weight limit and it was making me nervous. Dave said it was time. It took a bottle of wine and sleeping with the video monitor for me to comply. I wanted to sleep on the floor next to the crib, ya know, to make the transition easier. But, the Hubbs wouldn't allow it. Jerk.

She slept wonderfully and has more space, so I knew it was time. I just wasn't ready to give up on sleeping next to her yet. Ah well, until 7am when she comes in bed with me every morning!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-11826872490607349762011-01-02T16:04:00.000-05:002011-02-16T16:05:39.541-05:00You rolled!Today is Daddy's birthday and as a present to him, you rolled from you belly to your back. You did it first on you gym mat, and then in the pack and play! One thing you forgot - to do it in front of him! Every time he tries to watch, you won't do it.

Wow, are you stubborn like your Momma or what?!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-39730317619623841692010-11-14T21:16:00.002-05:002010-11-14T21:19:44.889-05:00An Arm FullLil, today you grabbed a toy and shook it all by yourself. You really enjoyed the sound it made. So much so that it made you laugh.

It is hard to hear everyone tell me how big you are getting and if I have to hear "she is quite an arm full" one more time, I am going to scream. Where did my tiny baby go? However, I am so proud that you have such wonderful coordination and entertained yourself. If you HAVE to grow up, I am glad you are so cute and so smart while you do so.Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-1854082091557639342010-11-10T22:42:00.003-05:002011-02-01T11:22:02.121-05:00Weight LossI have really been trying to lose the pregnancy weight, and I guess most would say I have had great success, but it is not the success I thought I would have.

At the end of my pregnancy, I was only 5 lbs. heavier than before I got pregnant. Yesterday, I weighed myself on the wii fit and weighed in at 21.5 lbs. less than when I got pregnant. However, today, I weighed again and I am up to 6 lbs.. Is that even possible?

I am thinking that because I weighed myself first thing in the AM today, the baby had not eaten very much and maybe because I was full to capacity of milk, I weighed more???? Yikes I hope so!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-64016720114355582962010-10-11T11:45:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:46:35.110-05:00Your ChristeningToday, Daddy and I had you Baptized. You were welcomed into the Catholic church in front of all of your family and friends. Mimi & Pop spent the night and we all woke up bright and early. We had breakfast and coffee and then we got dressed. You really did not like getting into your beautiful white gown, but you were so gorgeous. Mimi bought you a sweater that was for a 1 year old. You were swimming in it but it was possibly the cutest thing ever. I put your in your car seat and off we went to the church. You fell asleep on the way, as usual. We got tothe church, the first family there, and the ceremony began. The deacon spoke beautifully and you were quiet/sleeping the entire time. Until it was time for you to be baptized in the fountain. You did not like the holy water over your head at all. It sent you into a crying fit that Daddy & I could not get you out of. So after the holy water, we were to stand up on the altar with your Godparents, Tia B and Uncle Scotty, while the others were being baptized. You SCREAMED the entire time. Not a fuss, not a whimper...screaming. Odly enough, the moment the deacon was done with mass, you stopped.

Afterwards when we got home, and your belly was full, you were the celebrity of the party. Everyone kept saying how gorgeous you were (they always do). Puppa called you her celebrity all day. You were really good for the rest of the afternoon, really allowing everyone to pass you around and stare at you. You are so beautiful my little angel!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-78165261196538633142010-10-03T11:45:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:45:49.864-05:00One MonthDear Lilly,

Today you are one month old.

"You are the best thing that's ever been mine"

This past month has been an amazing combination of smiles, tears, sleepless nights and a few of the best moments of my life. You have gone from this pudgy faced peanut who slept all day, to this mini person who smiles up at me. I really enjoy your company. I love how hard you make me work to see you smile. The time we spend cuddling throughout the day is absolutely priceless because I know it wont last forever. The way your little hand has been grasping around my one finger bring tears of happiness to my eyes. More and more when I look at you, I realize how much you look just like I did when I was that little. It makes me so proud to have someone so special remind me of myself.

I don't know if I will ever be able to love someone as much as I love you. You have completely stolen my heart, and I am more than willing to let you keep it forever.

Nicknames - Squeaker, Lil, Lilly Bug, Lilly Girl
Weight - 10 lbs
Length - 22 inAnastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-63791409749047154352010-09-20T11:43:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:45:04.876-05:00WildwoodThis weekend we left for your first vacation. We packed up your suitcase and got in the car for a three and a half hour road trip to Wildwood, NJ. We are meeting up with Mimi & Pop for Pop's fireman's convention. You, Daddy and I said goodbye to the pooches and piled in the car. We got down to Tia B's college and picked her up. From there on we hit a ton of traffic and a horrendous storm. You were so good in the car! We stopped once for gas and to feed you and continued on our way.

Friday we woke up and you had your first restaurant experience. You, daddy and i along with mimi and pop went to breakfast in the hotel. Again, you did great. Later we went shopping in Cape May. Mimi bought you a shirt and purple sunglasses. You looked like a little rock star! When we got back to the hotel, we went down to the pool. You looked so sweet in your teeny bikini! That night we went out to dinner and to the boardwalk. You did not seem to mind the noise or the fireworks.

Saturday, the three of us slept in, we really needed it. When we got up, we went down to the beach. You put your toes in the sand for the very first time. We spent another afternoon by the pool and another evening at the boardwalk.

On Sunday, we went out to breakfast at the Vegas Diner. Something I always used to do with my Pop. After that, we went to Mimi & Pops house in NJ. There, Mom Mom and some of your great Aunts came to visit. It was a nice way to end the weekend.Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-9153892067563438802010-09-12T11:41:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:43:11.133-05:00A firstToday you peed in my hand! You hate to be naked. Daddy says "lets keep it that way". So when we wash you down, it is a screaming match. We find that if one of us holds you, you take it better. Well, I was holding you and daddy was washing. I guess you got a little chilly because you peed right in my hand and all over the carpet... my little pee monster!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-47433819180573130282010-09-07T11:40:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:41:28.714-05:00First Doctor's AppointmentWe had your first doctors appointment today. You really did not like it at all. As a matter of fact, you peed on his table! You gained 2 ozs. which puts you up to 8 lbs.

These entries are getting shorter and shorter because you require 100% of my time - and I love every moment!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-86379762285214912972010-09-06T11:38:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:39:45.632-05:00Daddy's GirlSeeing you with daddy absolutely melts my heart. In all the years I have loved your Daddy, the words "I love you" never really said enough for me. I have been head over heels for him for many many years. Seeing how he holds you, kisses you and cuddles you with such care has me falling in love all over again. You were instantly Daddy's little girl, which is a relationship I wanted for you so badly. The two of you will definitely have your ups and downs over the years, but ultimately, he will be one of your best friends and someone you will always turn to. I love you both dearly.Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-52970889320508466222010-09-03T11:36:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:38:53.011-05:00Birth StoryOn Tuesday, August 31, we had sonogram of you, Lilly Girl. The technician told us that you were 9 lbs, 7 ozs. When my doctor found out how big you were, she took me aside and told me of the complications that could arise from delivering such a large baby but that it was definitely doable. After many tears and a long discussion between Daddy & I, we decided to go ahead and have you delivered normally. If something were to happen, they could always do a c-section. They Re-set my induction date from the 6th of September to the 2nd of September, just two days away. That morning, I woke up early and spent the day with Mimi. We had lunch in Warwick, walked around town and bought cute stuff for ya. I called in at 3 as I was told to do to make sure there was a bed ready for us that night. They said to come in around 6 and that they would be ready for us.

I drove home from the lake house and hopped in the shower. It was the most anxious shower I have ever taken, knowing that I would shortly be meeting my angel. I got out of the shower, sat down at the dinner table and had a BLT. I did not want to eat but knew I would not be eating for quite some time. The drive to the hospital was nerve wracking and I was so scared. Knowing all the complications, I was worried that we had made the wrong decision in not scheduling a c-section.

Daddy parked the car and together, we walked to the maternity ward. They brought us right to our room and hooked me up to monitors. Right away, the nurse found your strong little heart beat. Unfortunately, and for an unknown reason, your heart rate was fast. This meant that they could not start the induction for a while. Meanwhile, my doctor never sent over my charts so they needed to do a whole new history workup and blood work. Through this, they found out that the wrong type of blood was down on my chart. Big mistake by my doctor in NC. My Doctor came in to check on your heart rate and discuss the induction. While she was in, she began discussing should distortion with me. She said that there was a good chance that you could have shoulder problems due to your size. Daddy and I did not know what to do. I really wanted to have you naturally but the thought that you could be injured during birth really killed me. We both cried and called our parents and asked for adivce. After lots of tears and talking to a few nurses, we opted to have a c-section. It was scheduled for six the following morning. We set an alarm for 5:15 am so that we could be up and prepared. Mimi and Pop and Mia and Papa planned on being around to say good luck around 5:30am. Daddy and I lay in bed and looked out the window. Our view was of the Mid-Hudson Valley Bridge. It had lights on it that changed colors. We were mesmerized as we both prayed for the following day.

Our alarm went off at 5:15am. When the nurse came in, she informed us that there was an emergency c-section occurring and we would be bumped to 8am. Around 5:45, the grandparents began to file in. They sat with us while we waitied to hear when i would be taken into surgery. When the nurse came in again around 7:45am, she said there was another emergency and we would be taken in around 9. The grandparents went down to go get breakfast and coffee, as Daddy and I sat and waited. Finally around 8:45, they came to take me to surgery. Daddy had to dress up in this white jumpsuit and they gave me a very funny hat. They took me into the room first, alone, and made Daddy wait in the hallway until they gave me medicine to not feel pain at 9:07. The room was really cold and I was very nervous. After getting a spinal block and being laid down, Daddy was allowed back into the room. I was completely numb but still felt tugging and lots of pressure. At times it was hard to breathe, but Daddy held my hand, spoke softly to me and kept me focused. At 9:36, I heard my angel cry for the first time. You had a serious set of lungs on you from the start!! Daddy was asked to go over and look at you, take pictures and hold you. He brought you over to my and I kiss your cheek and snuggled against you. It was absolute love at first sight!!! Daddy and I both cried. I could not hold you because my arms were strapped down. Daddy was able to hold you next to me for a while, then you were taken away to the nursery to get a bath. On your way there, you got to see your anxiously waiting grandparents who were in the waiting room.

I was closed up and sent to a recovery room at 10:23am. I slept there for a while and then Daddy came in. We sat and talked about how beautiful you were and how excited everyone was to see you. (Mimi cried). While in recovery, I anxiously awaited your return to me. When I got you back about forty minutes later, I could not have been more in love. Daddy and I snuggled in with you as we waited for our room to be ready. After 5 hours in recovery, we headed to our room. Daddy wheeled you in your little koozie, and I was pushed by a nurse. There, your four grandparents and Tia B were waiting to see you and I once again. There was a mini war over who was going to hold you first. It was so nice to see how loved you were already! We spent the rest of the day cuddling and our first night together was much easier than I ever thought it would be. It was the most fantastic day of my life!!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-7002919444539864892010-08-25T11:32:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:36:38.353-05:00Little girl - it is called due date for a reasonShe's late. Today was my 40 week appointment. The doctor that I saw today was so complacent. She didn't even want to do an internal. I wasn't having it and spoke to the manager there. All the other doctors I have seen at the short time I have been at this practice have been wonderful - except this boob!

She eventually did an internal and I was nowhere. I had nothin. On my due date - no effacement, no dilation. I am devastated. I have an appointment scheduled for 41 weeks but hoping I will not need it!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-1660936014294688662010-08-18T11:12:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:16:15.529-05:00I have lost all patience..Not that I have many to begin with... I am half Italian. I know she is not due for another week, but I have already tried doing all of those "Labor Inducing" tricks. We walk like crazy with the boys, eat eggplant, zucchini, even labor cookies. I have had spicy Mexican food and spicy salsa. Nothing.

We are just so ready for our outside baby girl. My belly is ginourmous, I can no longer sleep, I have LOST my appetite and I cant really take it much longer. It was another surprise shower. Another interesting story of course! I was at my parents house in NJ taking care of my sister after her surgery. On my was home I hit an inordinate amount of traffic - redic! Then, just as I was going to turn on to my street, a deer ran out of the woods and hit a car. (yes, it ran into the car, not the other way around.

It was clearly dead from the impact. It was so sad and traumatizing. I started shaking as I pulled onto my road and then the tears started. As I walked into the house, my knees pretty much buckled as everyone yelled "Surprise!".

Never a dull moment!

The party was so nice. My mother in-law is a crazy cook and had made so many delicious dishes. Just about everyone from DH's family was there, including his cousins from LI - havn't seen them since the wedding. We got so many wonderful gifts that our one year old niece kindly helped me open. It was a great day!

Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-35463344945679302582010-07-27T11:03:00.001-04:002010-11-10T11:07:01.347-05:00The Big MoveThis past month, DH and I packed up our home and moved back to our old apartment in my in-laws basement. Yes a move from home sweet home in North Carolina to ol' New York.

We are pretty devastated. We love everything about NC - everything except that we have NO family here and our little one will be here very shortly. So, now we live back in our old apartment and still pay a mortgage on a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath back in NC that we could not sell. DEVASTATED.

Hopefully this house sells soon so we can purchase a new one up here in NY. Until then, we live with my in-laws in their basement apartment and pray that the St. Joesph in the ground back in NC does his magic!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-52060060868325392322010-07-18T11:17:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:26:08.928-05:00Baby Shower!!!Yesterday was my NJ shower. My Mom and sister threw a great party and it was a total surprise. I thought I was going down there for a dinner for my sister. DH dropped me off at my parent's lake house in NY where my Dad was. He was going to drive me to their house in Colts Neck. Little did I know that his car has no AC.

Dear Daddy,
I am 8 months pregnant and on my way to
a really nice dinner. Now that I am 600
degrees and a sweaty mess, I am going to look
like crap for dinner - which actually turned out
to be my shower. STOP BEING CHEAP AND
FIX YOUR AC!
Love, Anastasia

So when I got there with frizz all over my head and makeup running down my face, I was REALLY surprised. It was all of my Mom's family and my Dad's Mom as well. My mom made little chocolates and a really beautiful pink cake. She also made one of those oversized cupcakes for the Daddy. DH couldn't make it because of work so she sent me home with a nice treat for him.

We played a bunch of games including "Which candy does this dirty diaper smell like"...lol eeww. My nose still has prego super sense so I won 3/4.

I could not eat most of the food. My very silly Mama had mini cold cut sandwiches, lobster salad and eggplant parm. The cake was delish though. I will post pics when I get them!!

Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-56087496403184105232010-07-01T11:07:00.000-04:002010-11-10T11:11:53.977-05:00L & DFirst trip to L & D today. Not scary at all 0_0. They thought that I was leaking fluids so I went in and they hooked me all up and monitored me all morning. After a while I was told that while I was leaking fluid, it was a small tear that healed itself and that all would (should) be good from here on out. Only a month and a half left baby girl. Stay in there and stay safe!!

On a side note, being in there made being pregnant feel even more real. Soon I will be in there for real, really having our little girl. Squeeeee!Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-74219161365467319402010-06-26T09:35:00.002-04:002010-06-26T09:41:40.832-04:00Oopsie Ditty! One of the most amazing products for babies I have seen recently is the Oopsie Ditty. It is a diaper bag that is small enough to fit and carry on your wrist. All of those short trips you head out on; out to dinner, one errand, quick car trip, there is no reason to lug a ginormous diaper bag around.

This is large enough to hold a few diapers, some wipes, a bib and maybe some cream. It also comes with a little survival kit. You should really check them out if you get tired of lugging your full diaper bag around!

Currently, one Momma Blogger is giving one away in a great giveaway! Check it out!

http://marketmommy.blogspot.com/2010/05/first-birthday-extravaganza-giveaway.html

Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-73536016426497723122010-06-16T09:28:00.000-04:002010-06-26T09:35:35.244-04:00Recent wacky symptomsOk.. here is what is going on recently with this pregnant body:

-Belly Button is almost flat
-Left hip does not work anymore
-Feel like I got kicked in the crotch with a steel toed boot
-More stretchies pop up on a daily basis
-No more sleeping on the belly w/ leg propped up
-Barely sleeping more than an hour at a time
-Getting really anxious about having everything for baby girl
-Braxton Hicks

Those are the most recent things. Not happy about them, but happy about the final outcome : )Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2736713346979299115.post-33621909310021014232010-06-04T07:48:00.000-04:002010-06-04T07:47:29.510-04:00Bling - BlingWhen I was little, I can distinctly remember my moms necklace. It was a gold lace heart that had a pearl that bounced around inside it. I would always pull on it and actually broke the chain twice (so I was told). My mothers remedy to this was to play a game with me. She would put the heart in her mouth and then blow it out at me. <this>

I would make her do it for hours, and when she would stop, I would put it in her mouth for her!! Then I learned that I could put it in MY mouth..big mistake. I almost swallowed it once. That was the end of my mom wearing that necklace.

Babies chew jewelery all the time. They yank on it, gum it and fixate on it. Since I was a child, they came out with wonderful chewable jewelery. It serves a great purpose and yet is still fashionable. There are many brands and makers out there and one of my favs is Smart Mom Jewelry. They have great patterns and designs.

Currently, one of my fav Momma bloggers is giving one away. I hesitantly give you the link because I want one THAT BADLY!!! But I will be nice, here it is:

http://mommyvsmoney.blogspot.com/2010/06/smart-mom-jewelery-review-and-giveaway.html
</this>Anastasiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08073906060192205208noreply@blogger.com0
