Gobble Gobble!

Our first Turkey day was a success. I cooked it all - Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, candied yam balls, string bean casserole, gravy, mac & cheese, biscuits, pumpkin pie & death by chocolate.

We got up early so that we could start the turkey and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade like we do every year. We had a few mimosas with pomegranate seeds which is our own little Tradition.

We had our friend Doug over and the three of us had a serious feast. Even Colby got his own plate of stuffing and turkey. The tryptophan must have tuckered him out because he dragged his bed into the dining room and collapsed!

After we ate dinner, we went to our friends home for dessert. We stayed there for a few hours, watched the pathetic excuse for the NY Giants and then came home and crashed.

I look forward to doing this again. It was exhausting but totally worth it. Maybe next year we will even have an addition to the fam!
